1999 Ford E-150 propane/gas sidewinder 7 passenger travel van in Vancouver, BC

$9,900

Seller note:

van was brought in as a shell from u.s. in 1999 and Sidewinder Vans in Chilliwack built the conversion. The van was sold at a dealer in the yukon and it spent one year there and had only 5000 Km. racked up on it.and was shipped to Kelowna in 2001 for sale at a dealer. Aparently it was to big for the old women to drive. I purchased in 2002 and since then it has spent all it's time in the Dunbar area in vancouver and I have used it for a ten minute drive to work everyday and a couple trips to Kelowna per year so I have only put on [removed phone] km. per year. The van has been very well maintained and the interior is in very good shape due to the fact I've mostly have been in it by myself and my teenage kids occasionally go on vacation in it. The exterior has no rust I spent $4200.00 on it in 2009 on a state of the art PROPANE conversion done by A.F.S auto in Bby. it is a computerized sequential system which means it has propane injecters and no carberator . The van starts on gasoline gets to operating temp. and switches over to propane. I'm purchasing propane from AUTOPROPANE for $.63 per litre. The tansmission has been serviced and synthetic fluid has been changed every two years and never any metal filings in the pan(good sized trani cooler) I have been changing the synthetic engine oil every 5000km. I have replaced the platinum autolite spark plugs(correctly)at around [removed phone]km. and have replaced all the ignition coils and wires the diff.fluid has just been replace with new ltd. slip additive. It has had a complete front suspension overhaul including front drilled slotted rotors. It has had a rear drum to disk brake conversion including a new master cylinder and booster with braided lines.new u joints and balance. Four wheel A.B.S all new 17inch mag wheels with brand new YOKOHAMA tires around 500 km. on tires (new mags not in photo and soon to come) Included is four new snow tires. and new mag wheel spare tire.spare tire is now mounted on rear door due to propane conversion (not in photo) rear air lift bag. with all new trailer wiring system with latest teqnology proporsioned controller.7 point plug. JEG auto programmer ,fold down electric couch to bed. 8 spaeaker sound system am/fm/12disk c.d. rear air front air tilt , cruise, power mirrors, built in radar detector.all new dual exhaust system and air cared Oct.2009 cold air intake with k&n filter to much more to list. I have dropped around $22,000.00 into this van in the past two years (all receipts since 2002) The only reason I am selling this van is that it is to light to pull my new boat and I'm looking for a newer crew cab 6 passenger diesel pick up truck. This van is beautiful to travel in on the open highway . The new dual exhaust system with the magna flow mufflers make it a little louder but it does sound a little more high performance. no need to worry about realiability (with all te new parts it's pretty much a completely restored vehicle and I will have to eat my losses. The propane makes it super cheap to operate and the oil stays cleaner. Ford designed this 5.4. litre TRITON to correctly run on propane and no need to worry about burning out valves and seals.( see ford rouche propane truck on google) The only thing that needs to be fixed is a couple of very small dents about the size of a 25 cent piece on the front fender and it does need two new front brake rotors and pads approx $350.00 I did one trip with new boat to osoyoos pulling and discovered van was to light for boat and it has never pulled a boat since. The back brakes are still 95% left. (dunbar area u.b.c. jack [removed phone] This ia a private sale.
